Common Questions

How do I find a tutor?

Open the Student tab, select your subject, set your budget and urgency, then tap "Find a Tutor." Available tutors will be notified and can accept your request.

How do payments work?

Students add a payment method via the Profile tab. A hold is placed when a tutor accepts your request. You're charged when the session is completed, based on the tutor's hourly rate and actual session duration. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. What if I need to cancel?

You can cancel a pending request at any time before a tutor accepts — no charge. After a tutor accepts, cancelling before the session starts releases the payment hold — no charge. See our full Refund & Cancellation Policy.

How do I become a tutor?

Go to Profile → Become a Tutor. Add your subjects, education, and hourly rate. You can also upload certifications for verified badges. Tutors receive 80% of session fees — the 20% platform fee covers payment processing, infrastructure, and support.

How do video calls work?

Once a tutor accepts your request, you'll see a "Join Video Call" button in your active session. Video calls include screen sharing and a shared whiteboard.

How do I report a problem with a tutor or student?

You can report a user from their profile card or during an active session using the report button. Reports are reviewed by our team.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your data. You can also email tutornowsupport@gmail.com.
